ISLAMIC RELIGIOUS EDUCATION TEACHER STRATEGY IN INSTILLING MULTICULTURAL VALUES IN SOUTH TANGERANG STATE HIGH SCHOOLS

Abstract

PURPOSE THIS RESEARCH IS FOR (1). EXAMINING THE VALUES IN THE IMPLEMENTATION OF MULTICULTURAL EDUCATION FOUND IN BOTH SMA NEGERI 1 AND SMA NEGERI 2 SOUTH TANGERANG REGENCY. (2). APPLYING STRATEGIES AND LEARNING PATTERNS THAT ARE SUITABLE FOR IMPLEMENTATION BY PAI TEACHERS IN INSTILLING MULTICULTURAL VALUES IN BOTH SCHOOLS (3). GETTING USED TO MULTICULTURAL VALUES THROUGH THE SECOND ASPECT OF LIFE. METHOD: THIS RESEARCH USES A QUALITATIVE APPROACH, AND DATA COLLECTION TECHNIQUES THROUGH OBSERVATION, INTERVIEWS, AND DOCUMENTATION. DATA ANALYSIS BY GIVING MEANING TO THE DATA THAT HAS BEEN COLLECTED AND PROCESSED THEN CONCLUSIONS ARE DRAWN. THE FOCUS OF THE RESEARCH IS (1) MULTICULTURAL VALUES INSTILLED IN TANGERANG CITY PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOLS THROUGH PAI AND (2) PAI TEACHER STRATEGIES IN INSTILLING MULTICULTURAL VALUES THROUGH ISLAMIC RELIGIOUS EDUCATION. RESULTS: THIS RESEARCH SHOWS THAT (1) THE CONDITIONS OF THE SCHOOL COMMUNITY AT SOUTH TANGERANG CITY STATE HIGH SCHOOL ARE QUITE DIVERSE, WITH VARIOUS ETHNICITIES, RELIGIONS, SOCIAL STATUSES, AND DIFFERENT WAYS OF THINKING. (2) APPROPRIATE CULTURAL VALUES THAT PAI TEACHERS HAVE TAUGHT IN THEIR RESPECTIVE CLASSES (3) STRATEGY FOR PAI TEACHERS IN INSTILLING MULTICULTURAL VALUES THAT ARE BY THE AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF EDUCATION. THINGS LIKE THIS ARE BASED ON IDENTIFIED TEACHING AND LEARNING ACTIVITIES THAT TEACHERS HAVE GENERALLY IMPLEMENTED USING THE PAKEM MODEL STRATEGY, NAMELY ACTIVE, CREATIVE, EFFECTIVE, AND FUN LEARNING.
